The Academy of Professional Bartending Schools, in New York was conceived, designed, and built, by the owners Dennis (also known as “D”) and Giovanna. “D” has over 15 years of bartending experience in fine dining restaurants, sports bars, hotels, catering events, private parties, and FLAIR competitions. He also managed his family’s tavern in New Jersey. As a bar manager, “D” was amazed by the lack of fundamental bartending skills displayed by the majority of potential employees. Drawing from his extensive experience, he established the Academy of Professional Bartending. "D" and his staff of New York State Licensed Bartending Instructors have been training bartenders in the Tri-State area for over a decade.
This gives our bartenders a broad and unique range of perspectives and techniques in which to draw upon when entering the real world of bartending. Our bartender classes are a mixture of lecture/demonstrations (10%) and hands-on training (90%). We have made every effort to give our students a sense of genuineness, while training in a real barroom environment. Our bartending schools are equipped with all the latest tools of the trade. From the beginning, our goal was simple: offer the public an affordable bartending course, while providing them with all the bartending training and tools necessary to obtain a profitable bartending job upon graduation. Most importantly, make it easy to learn and have fun while doing so.
